Lac Le Jeune
Resort, Kamloops, British Columbia – July, 2010
I flew from
Toronto to Vancouver International
Airport, picked up a car
and drove almost 400 kilometers. It took a while to get through Vancouver city but after
that, a pretty smooth driving. From trans-Canada highway 1 to highway 5, the
scenery was beautiful. A “Super Natural” province, they are not kidding! You
can see waterfalls from the highway and ice caped mountains. I am just glad
that it is not winter.
I followed
lady Garmin’s driving instructions all the way into Kamloops downtown which was wrong because I
punched in the resort’s mail box address instead of the actual resort location
which was located 40 kilometers outside the city. I then drove all the way back
to the country side where the resort located. The extra driving killed another
40 minutes. Once arrived and checked into the resort, things are getting
smoother. Food was good!
I found
that among all the photographers, I was the most in-experienced. Which is good,
it means I am licensed to “kill” and learn from everyone. Some of the photographers are professional. I
am there to play and relax. I am on vacation! By relax I mean getting up at 3:30
in the morning, be at the dock at 4:30 and bundle up. Temperature was only 6
Celsius in the morning if it is not drizzling. Once you are on the boat and in
the middle of the lake the only thing you can hear are Loons and camera
shutter.
Well, see for yourself!
